Job Description:-
The Senior QA Lead Engineer is responsible for overseeing Functional and System testing and will work closely with the QA Managers to drive testing of the product across a wide variety of operating systems and hardware platforms. In addition to overseeing test case scoping, design, and execution, the Senior QA Lead Engineer will also function as an individual contributor for particularly challenging projects and serve as a primary technical point of contact, and mediate software defects with Development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members
* Develop test plans Ensure on-time delivery of planned testing
* Develop and run functional and integration tests to ensure that the features delivered in the product work correctly
* Develop new testing approaches to accommodate tight schedules and resource constraints
* Responsible for architecting and implementing test automation strategy
* Perform hands-on testing and debug failures
* Identify areas to improve testing efficiency
* Troubleshoot problems with application, server, database, operating system setup
* Review Design and Functional specifications
* Drive the adoption of custom software testing tools to test the product
* Understanding of Internet and web applications with following technologies: html, javascript, css, Ajax, xml
* Set milestones, estimates for assigned tasks and deadlines based on that for testing projects
* Convey status in cross functional meetings in Manager's absence
* Ensure Test Case design and execution methodologies are technically sound
* Analyze defect for duplicate or inaccurate categorizations
* Manages a Test Lab with Windows/Linux laptop, Windows/Linux desktops
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related scientific or technical disciplines, or related work experience
* 5+ years of QA and Test Development experience
* Strong knowledge of System Testing
* 3+ years in white box testing
* Automation test methodologies
* Strong Windows background and with UNIX knowledge
* Ability to accurately identify software use cases
* Ability to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems
* Ability to develop a clear and concise testing strategy
* Has programming in C, C++ or C# or other languages
* Strong knowledge of web application (client/server)
* Considered a strong plus" if the candidate has prior Java, XML, webservices
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
