Head -- Quantity Surveyor -- Pune(India)

An exciting opportunity with a company which currently sits among the top line construction companies in the Pune for a Head of Quantity Surveying – Commercial Manager

This central role manages the team of Quantity Surveyors which provides support to the Estimating Department for procedures, sub-contract and contract terms. Responsible for preparing entitlement under NORIS 1 system (tender to construction review) it will also establish and maintain the ongoing relationships with Contractor's or Client's Quantity Surveyors and / or Commercial teams.

The Quantity Surveying Department is accountable for monitoring payment terms, performance and Final Accounts with Finance Department and VAT invoicing, the role of the Quantity Surveyor will also value, submit and agree variations (NORIS, EWN, Compensation Events etc).

You will have an overview of and be expected to resolve contractual issues in conjunction with the Projects Manager and agree the final accounts. There is also overall responsibility for managing Sub-Contractors and Suppliers and monitoring of job costs.

Applicant:
The right candidate will have a strong background in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry (ideally, within the specialist sub-contracting arena) and possess drive and determination for excellence. They will have previous experience of managing teams and a record of success in delivering against deadlines and objectives.
Assertive and persuasive, the candidate should be equally happy dealing with detail as managing supplier relationships.
Ideally qualified with a relevant degree the candidate will have a demonstrable track record of adding value to projects.

Key skills:
Review & prepare Interim Payment Application to client, Evaluation of Variations, Final Account agreement with client & sub-contractors.

Sub-Contract management , Review & preparatiaon of Sub-contract document, negotiation & finalisation of sub-contract terms, subcontractor's payment certificate & final account agreement.

Commertial reporting: Monthly Commercial reports.
